Not New. Antika!

-
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
by Derek Walcott

Beautifully crafted Turkish hand-made arts. Genuine. Traditional. Elegant embroidered. Unusual. When I was invited to visit this exhibition I wanted to stop the flying time because it was hard to calm down my heart. Because I am a madly antika lover (but a slow-motion collectioner:)

So I did not want to miss it. I created a two-hrs from my daily routine. And found my way going to the ages and a quality of years. I understood once again how I love Turkish antiques, a brief proof of Turkish delights...

For the second part of Not New. Antika!
keep an eye right here as its promising to be a wide open window.

  1. Beautiful images of elegant Antika crafts. I like the metal pots, what alloy is that? Rustic, sturdy, authentic. Brava Nihal

  5. When I got married in Turkey, I looked out desperately for such things, but they were not on the market, just inside the houses. It is about time to show the world the beauty of Turkish craft and the skill of girls and women in this country!
