Sometimes It's Just One Word

-
There's plenty of same news for weeks! Today I woke and read again:

sport events were canceled. temperatures dipped to -22C/-8F in Scandinavia. endless traffic jams. thousands of travelers sleeping in airports. freezing ducks in the lakes. ice storms affected as far south as Italy. heavy snow blanketed the French capital. problems in transportation in northern Europe. late trains in rail travel. deaths in central Europe from deep freeze. snow even in Australia. freezing much of the US. many travelers waiting in our Istanbul Atatürk Airport for their EU connected flights. snowy chaos.
Ouffff!

Right under of our nose, Europe is freezing however Turkey, in one word "boiling". For example today we felt it 20C in midday! In the south of country people swimming! I wear my shoes with no socks. It is true, the air has moved out the of the arctic. Replaced air in the arctic is warmer, and as a result the air is getting warmer than the same date as previous year. Feeling unlucky and lucky, at the same time, see why now:

morning sun, not flash of my camera!

Early this season I bought them with a big heart-beat. Super long, suede, leather. Wore only 2-times! Today I replaced my très chic boots to the deep back side of my wardrobe.

Just because...

All I need is: strawberry, cruising in a yacht and my flip-flops.

Generous Jupiter

-
I am the member of a Turkey's leading private on-line shopping club, Markafoni. Offers members at a saving of up to 80's percent off. The site, as you may know, is for quality goods of very well-known and/or world famous brands. Last day I was pretty excited to receive e-mail. Was about a gift check to me. So I made up my selection for the following so-beautiful-necklace among many items: very nice mix of crystals and white pearls. This is from a Hong Kong based jewelery company that has opened its first and new store abroad in Istanbul this year. Sometime next week I should receive it from cargo.

As based on invitation, do not hesitate to send me e-mail if you want to become a member. Only for residents in Turkey, of course.

Oh thanks very much to Jupiter; the giver of luck, gifts, expansion and opportunity. It is traveling in my sign, and natural ruler of my significant houses if I have had a burst of luck
since the beginning of current year!!!

Change and Zen: 改善

-
I can not think a life without kai and zen. I have worked on various projects including kaizen and found it to be both productive and efficient. Besides improving work life, it helps also for best personal development changing thoughts:

kaizen Noun / 'kaı.zen/ Suru verb / No-adjective

aaa1. betterment; continuous improvement.
aaa2. japanese philosophy stating the necessity for successive and incremental improvement in the personal and professional life of a person.

In today's Turkey, nomadic and rural women continue to wear their traditional dresses. Common in most villages is baggy trouser, a long sleeved blouse, a sweater-vest and a headscarf that is seen in a Cappadocian woman (above). In some regions in Anatolia we can also see felt cap that is embroidered in gold thread on men (below).

Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkish Republic, started his social revolution by ordering Turkish women and men to wear western style dresses on Nov 25, 1925 but dressing is slowly changing! Forces of the global economy have created changes in lifestyles in Turkey particularly since 1970's, however over 60% of the inhabitants of modern Turkey live in urban areas.
Older forms of Turkish traditional dress which do not include western style is still worn daily.

As for myself, I have not been interested in our traditional dresses since I was a child. I even did not think to try a hat on my head. During our trip, it was the funniest moments with lots of laughs and jokes when my friends (from Rome) have been fascinated with
our costumes. We all are a bit Turkish, here's the new portraits: inside italian - outside turkish:)

I think nothing is more cherished than the promise of...

religious spiritual,

long lasting friendship,

commitment,

and love ever after.

It takes only a moment for us to make any promise but difficult times start how to express and seal our promise?

If you love Vintage Promise rings like me, you will adore my beautifully crafted ring! My new jewelry is giving off a whiff of vintage yet still managing to look perfectly modern. Best of its qualities, it is nobly look but rest is continuously a heartbeat flowing over my hand. A 2 carat CZ is in the center, and item is between a pair of baguettes and small round cut stones. I'm so impressed with its quality and brilliance! White gold rhodium bond promises all the romance and love I could ever wish for. Oh beyond words! Stunning from all angles as seen in my photos.

I think it is perfect for any occasion whether an engagement, anniversary or for a great right hand fashion ring!
Absolutely gorgeous for a life more hopeful, fulfilled and beauteous one. Be sure to visit LuShae Jewelry to find the jewelry of your dreams --pendants, earrings, rings all available online--, or even buy the same of my ring.

Very active day, incredibly beautiful daisies everywhere, and splendidly warm outside that allows us to go a picnic!
17C degrees. Some even in tee-shirts. Wish I had super forces to bring all the beauties up close.. In short, a spring wonderland today, Istanbul.

(Above) a few Istanbulian people and their style that I called in my view.

While I were doing most of my street photography in the vicinity of my home,
the Bağdat Ave. in the Asian part, I thought that if I do not know of you in real, then I could guess who you are:)

A kind of personality quiz. But your help requested.

Based on this quote that seems true
"Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you who you are", the people (my friends) define who I am. Right. I easily developed it to say like this: "Tell me your style, I will tell you who you are"

So- need feedback about your style. Pass the word on, please.

When July Arrives

-
I bet a lot of you feel the same way I do in the Summer...

give me a snowwhite t-shirt,

In fact I dislike buying t-shirts, never my preference, but cotton, satin, linen, silk and light dresses are my most faves. This past weekend I was drawn badly for this teeshirt! Because...

As stated on its blue label above; this t-shirt has been exclusively designed in support of Istanbul's bid to be the European Capital of Culture in 2010.
The "European Capital of Culture" program, launched in 1999 by the EU Council and Parliament, will ensure Istanbul's integration with Europea's most comprehensive cultural event.

I thought how fun to carry Bosphorus on my body:)
I did. I bought. (above) frontside and (below) backside rather topic, mapping where I come from:) A very thematic indeed! Can't stop thinking how many of them sold? You see our summer days will be days like full of Istanbul advertising...

my white jeans and silver color belt,

and my leather south american shoes all day any day,

Interested in? Made in Brazil. Mine was a love at first sight when my eyes met this turquoise blue sandals in the vitrine:)

book reading in my favorite cozy corner at home,

but I feel much happier when I fling some more happy colors over my balcony,

like purple pensies,

dark pink petunya,

and light green yet baby (cactus) roses,

oh give me a candle that's really going perfect on breezy nights...

I believe that if I am positive everbody stays positive for the most part. Even though our busy days at work and some weekends are met with fu
ll of work and a long to-do-list, the success during summer months is very dependent on our attitude. We should be able to sit back and enjoy the moments before a new day or a week starts again.

Not a super exciting day that is as typically in my life from my dressing to how spending time when I'm at home, but one of my favorites:) It's the things that make me slow down and enjoy everything around me. I believe coziness ensues.

Don't we need more days like today? Yes, we do need:)

5, 4, 3, 2, Trendy

-
Hey, I feel like a woman: highs, colors, eclectic. As Mom always says to me, it's nothing a pair of high heel can't fix:)

We have got things to do, the highway to take and people to meet. Like you, I were also hungry, thirsty and hopped on following styles. Not finished, there will be a few more sandals that I need to buy, but later in May:

I'm pretty sure Pedro Camino knows the exact way to my heart thru this shoes, oh and mi piace da morire these Spanish high-heels. More than saying chic!

Don't think they are super high, but very comfortable + easy to walk, muchos gracias to the chunky platform sole! Yes, I'll be staying alive:)

Other is coming from New Yorker Anne Klein. I predict that you'll embrace with open arms AK shoes' line for Spring/Summer '09, take a peek now

I hope you don't ask me the price tags, because this time I could not go cheap for chic:)

Now. I didn't want to miss:

{1} Do you like to be on trend?
{2} There is any of your fave shoe designer/s?

{3} And,
can you describe me your personal shoe style in five words or fewer?
