When I went into my favourite florist,...
(this is me)
I saw these...
so color full...
so enchanting...
so green...
so lush...
so alive...
and, amazing...
and, dreamy red...
just like her...
Istanbul is like a florist nowadays, remember mid-december. Mother nature's way of gift giving to us is indescribable! I open it again and again, within seconds I fill up with marvel, happiness and thankfulness.
So- that is why I am walking to be nose down. Let the celebrating begin?

Are there always as many blooming flowers in December in Istanbul? Flowers make everyday seem special, especially in the winter.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
@ Steph: No, not always. Not a pretty typical Istanbul december. Last year it was snowing, colder. But this year winter is not officially arrived here. It's still warm out! Amazing weather:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wish you the best Christmas time with your family and friends and a new year full of wonder:)
Beautiful Istanbul as always. I wish this end of the year I was in Istanbul but life choosed another way ! I've always thought about coming to Istanbul during spring !!

¡Felices Fiestas!
Aren't these grown in greenhouses? In Izmir there are acres of greenhouses just outside the city. It - by no means - lessens the beauty of a having a bit of spring in the middle of a gray and pitiless season. (I am a summer person, could you guess?)
ReplyDeleteI am also partial to the trees full of tangerines, oranges and lemons at this time of year. Nature's decorations!! Love your photos by the way, Nihal. Always lovely.
Natures amazing gifts never stop do they? Wonderful flowers.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to your and your family.
