Maybe the only major city... You pay less for crossing the continents by ferries, and you get incomparable pleasure and fun in huge two and three-story ferryboats linking various points on the Bosphorus about every half hour to historical European side, the Egyptian Bazaar with others heading to Üsküdar, Beşiktaş, Karaköy and Kadiköy. They are the "iris" of Istanbul that carry anywhere from a few 100 to a few 1000 people everyday! One of "the living beauties" of city, ferries are far faster rather than to hazard the Istanbul traffic. Let's see what I viewed from the outdoor upper deck and read a set of links that I found interesting:
If you find yourself on one of these ferryboats, be sure to say Merhaba:)

ReplyDeleteI'd love to ride the ferry in Istanbul. We do have a some ferry routes here on the SF Bay and I've had the pleasure of taking a few trips on them.
ReplyDelete@ IU: "Hızlı" olmak özelliklerimden biri, sadece burada değil heryerde aynen öyleyim:)
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love this!!! He is a boat freak. Come see what we are doing, a cool giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice sequence of views, Nihal. Good choice, among the others, the words of the "Sole 24 Ore": Istanbul, dove la cultura è protagonista.
ReplyDeleteHappy new week :-)
