Ah Bodrum!

-
"don't ever think that you will go as you come, those before you were exactly the same. they all left their minds in bodrum and went...!"

Turkish writer (1890-1973) Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known as the Fisherman of Halicarnassus (Turkish: Halikarnas Balıkçısı), describes Bodrum as above. He is rightly saying that. Because people do not leave Bodrum the same person as they came therefore they constantly come back. Like the locals of Bodrum, we being visitors are also aware of how precious Bodrum is... because:

all of these are the values that make Bodrum:

it's white washed stone houses covered with gypsy-pink bougainvilleas,
it's roasted figs,
it's dried bergamot bark,
it's tangerines,
it's the city of tradition,
it's the olives,
it's the olive oil,
it's the dynamic spirit,
it's the stone paved narrow streets,
it's the history dating back three thousand years,
it's crystal clear turquoise deep blue waters,
it's the unspoiled serene bays,
it's the unmatched fun capital of the Aegean,
it's the colorful nights that last until sunrise,
it's the unique meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean,
it's the doors where chairs used instead of locks!

Yes, I am one of those as the writer said.
I delivered my feelings to the wind of Bodrum. Things what come ashore are above, so I left my mind in Bodrum, my Bodrum, wanting so much going back there again..

You can click my photos to see the wide angle views, worth it.
