ho's mother of President Obama. Interestingly enough, strong ties existing between two families:)
*
Deputy Attorney General of the States. Eric Holder. Black. Born in Barbados.
*
Secretary of Agriculture. Tom Vilsack. If it does matter the case of the parents, then his life could be worth to make a movie. He was abandoned at birth and placed in a Roman Catholic orphanage. Started his life wa
lking by himself, all the way alone, and now he's in the cabinet.
*
Secretary of Education. Arne Duncan. His mother is founder for the center of African American youth. Karen, his wife is Australian. Where he met his wife? In Tasmania!
*
Secretary of Energy. Steven Chu. As clear as his family name, he's got Chinese roots. Won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1997. Obama, the first black President but Steven Chu is another first; first Nobel-prized secretary-designate in the US Senate.

*
U.S. Trade Representative. Ron Kirk. Black. Afro American. First as an attorney in the city Texas of Dallas. His father was an alcholic.
*
White House Chief of Staff. Rahm Israel Emanuel. His second name tells he's a Jewish.
*

This is Obama's team. One second, there are one or two Americans, too!
*

Since Obama entered in political scene, of course we've been keeping an eye on him and his cabinet,
whom he put in charge of different departments.
*

Make a note, no Indians.
*

Going back to the top, do you confirm me now? The headline put by our newspaper is great, very good fitting without leaving anybody in hesitancy whoever the case:

''Umudumuz Obama (English: Our Hope Obama)''

Includes every color. Drops from different countries on the galaxy. Like a rainbow cabinet!

And, following it two more headlines placed in righthand with small fonts take an interest in:

(Left) snippet says Kötünün Sonu in turkish (English: End of the Bad) pointing out the Bush Administration.

(Right) snippet says Hüseyin'in Baslangici in turkish (English: Hussein's Start). Not only me, but as Turkish people and our media, we all liked Obama's second name Hussein with a big sympathy more than his first name. Kidding not, 100% that's so:) A name which feels like he's close to us if you had known that Hussein is a popular male name in Turkey like many of muslim countries; one of religious old names such as Ibrahim (=Abraham), Davut(=David), Yakup(=Jacob)...

*
He's the first ''Global President'' of the world history.

How can you not expect ''A Change''?

Courtesy of inspiration: The analysis above is by columnist Yilmaz Ozdil, that I very much enjoy reading his critism and approach on world issues, that's analytically transparent. Also see originally turkish version of his article on Al Sana Küresel, posted today.

  1. I knew bits and pieces of this information but it is very impressive when it is spelled out as you have it on this post. So inclusive.

Thanks for putting the list together.

  2. Very funny.. not only were our posts constructed a bit along the same lines, as I was reading your I was thinking "no American Indians". And there is was at the bottom of the post.

Then again how do we know? I am not even sure what my own ancestry really is, completely! This elected Presidens shows that it doesn't really matter to the people. In the end it is personality and spirit that count. I hope the Indians will forgive...
