Autumn Arrives Hardly...

--
Wanted to join. Made a plan. Adjusted my alarm, every day 7 p.m. to 7 p.m. From Sep 18 to 25th. In other words, Friday to next Friday. I wanted to view skies how much blue I would collect in the evening hours, and see how long the days were changing to be shorter. A kind of weekly study as you can think. Photographic result-on-daily-basis is as seen here:

From the same point I looked over the skies from my hometown, that's Göztepe skies in the Asian part of the city. No any correction is done, all is originally uploaded. Only two-days we received really beautiful blue skies, 20th and 24th. Others were unpleasingly dark and full of gray evenings along the week. Luckily no rain, no wind but acceptable cool days they were for the warmth.

So, Summer. This is my goodbye to you. But just for now. You and I. We have had a really awesome summer time together; going to miss your relaxing, sand between my toes, reading in the chezlounges, bright yellow days of freedom. See you again in 7-8 months, right? Come earlier if you can, as you did a surprise in this year. I'd love, love, love it:)

Good Friday, Great Friday, Holy Friday. If you, too, are interested in watching fabulous skies reported by talented watchers in many up close-and-far corners of our world, wan't to visit Skywatch Friday, or click below?

  3. I'm taking my hat off to you, Nihal, again! Collecting blue patches from the skies is a great idea indeed to say a touching goodbye to summer days!

    Likewise, here on Norman, OK!
Lovely days are getting fewer and fewer and I had to put on my socks for the first time since May yesterday and that was a keen realization for me that summer's over! :((

The sequence of pictures is really interesting and well describes the changes of the sky.

  6. Hey Nihal, what a lovely farewell to summer! In Madrid we're enjoying a warm and sunny beginning of the autumn, still at some 25ºC. Not using socks yet, but the day will come soon.

I loved your sky pictures, that wonderful blue and the clouds

    Take care!

  8. Nihal, many thanks for your nice comment. Sincerely, I can't see in my second Sky Watch photo the beautiful woman inclined on the mountain. Probably the reason is that everyone has his own imagination and different people often see different fanciful images through the clouds.
    Have a very good week!

  9. Nihal, this was a great time study. Autumn is upon us, but just the beginning signs. We have had quite a bit of rain lately.

Farewell to your sweet summer. It will return to you with a smile.
